The time will slip by
Before you know it, it will be so
Why didn’t you wait
And take Him at His word?
And you will look back
To wonder how little it was
How easy to wait
So small the test
Yet in the moment it seems greater
But our desire to please Him
Should surpass all else
Our ultimate goal, pressing onwards
Leaving our self life behind
Entrusting His perfect plan for this moment
For here, no other time is given
To undergo this test, to take this cross
If we let it go by, we will not have this chance again
We get to please Him in this chance to die
It’s all out of love
For He planned this moment in care
He supplies our needs
Even hunger or plentiful
He will use each moment to conform
Taking away, thus moulding us each day
more into His likeness
That we broken and weak
May show His power Divine.
Shall we not endure this time?
It will pass also, no longer to return
Will we make the most of our time?
He has given us precious promises.
His love goes beyond all
We get to please Him
Giving Him everything
He will see us through
Even in the darkest of nights
He is with us, through the storm
We ought not to let go
Of His loving hand
Thinking we know better
We will soon find the winds and waves
Crashing all around us
We must yield our self confidence
And pride
Surrendering to His will
In joy, knowing His ways
Are truly Higher
