This world of confusion
There is no hope, only delusion
Darkness hovering all around
No glimpse of the light can be found
Fog engulfs mountains and trees alike
Nevertheless, I must find a place to hike
To clear my mind from this confusion
Reaching the top I find
Above all this esteemed in my mind
This world and all I thought it was
Has suddenly drastically changed
So many new orders and strange laws
Everything’s being rearranged
Nothing will ever be the same
Yet there is One who knows my frame
He is the same from day one
He goes beyond any fun
He is better than comfort here
He is love, taking away all fear
He is so much higher
All this will be burned with fire
These are temporary
I must live for eternity
For His ways are wonderful
His love fills my soul
His Spirit dwells within
Cleansing me from sin
Oh to be always close to Him
He gives joy even when the way is dim
Living with Him is the best
He gives me the only true rest.
